Who We Are

About Conevco

Conevco is bringing the future of lithium-ion battery recycling to the United States. Today, less than 5% of lithium-ion batteries are recycled, and the technology most commonly used destroys the majority of their value while creating hazardous waste. Conevco holds the exclusive U.S. rights to the Duesenfeld process, an award-winning technology proven over 12 years of profitable operations in Europe. Through deep discharge, precise manual disassembly, inert-gas shredding, and chemical extraction, the process recovers over 90% of battery materials at battery-grade quality, without furnaces, special permits, or hazardous emissions: a dramatic improvement over the roughly 35% recovery rate of conventional methods.

With a planned facility in Alabama, Conevco is positioned at the center of a $140 billion regional investment in lithium battery infrastructure and a strategic partnership with the University of Alabama's Mobility & Power Consortium, connecting it directly to major OEMs including Mercedes-Benz, Honda, Hyundai, Kia, and Toyota-Mazda. The company is led by Scott Dorsett and Doug Senn, who bring more than 50 years of combined experience in chemical manufacturing, metals recycling, and industrial operations. As electric vehicle adoption accelerates and 550,000 tons of end-of-life batteries are projected to reach the market by 2033, Conevco is building the infrastructure to recover critical materials safely, sustainably, and here at home.

Our Team

With more than 50 years of combined experience across chemical manufacturing, industrial operations, and large-scale project deployment, Conevco's leadership team needed to build battery recycling infrastructure in the U.S. From aviation-grade chemical manufacturing to a decade managing chemical demilitarization for the U.S. government, this is a team that has built and run complex industrial processes before, and is doing it again here.

Scott Dorsett

With 22 years of experience in chemical manufacturing and industrial leadership, Scott Dorsett has worked across aviation hydraulic fluids, heat transfer fluids, and global concentrated solar power plant deployment. He has led organizations through ISO 9001 and AS 9100 quality certifications, and his background spans HR, labor negotiations, and warehousing and logistics leadership: the full range of skills needed to scale an industrial operation from the ground up.

Chief Executive Officer

Doug Senn

With 32 years of experience across renewable energy, nuclear and fossil power, pulp & paper, and metals recycling, Doug Senn brings deep technical range to Conevco. He spent 10 years leading chemical weapons demilitarization for the U.S. government and holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering. His proven expertise in metals recycling and chemical processes makes him a key architect of Conevco's recovery technology.
